Humans of ACE - Shawn Erickson


Meet Shawn Erickson. Shawn has been working in co-operative education for 16 years. After completing his BBA with Co-operative Education at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), Shawn thought he wanted to go into accounting. However, having completed one of his co-op work terms at the UFV co-op office, when an opportunity came up several years later to work as a co-op instructor at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), he took it.

Candy has been working in co-operative education ‘officially’ since 2013, although her “love affair” with the program started much longer having been a co-op student and co-op employer!

Her work and educational background includes a decade in student affairs, - orientation and transition, campus life, student engagement, academic and career advising, and university advancement. She has a Bachelor in Arts (English, Psychology, Education), a Master in Education, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education.
