Department Marketing Statement
EDC is in search of a dedicated and resourceful student to work with its Treasury Team in Ottawa. The team is responsible for funding EDC’s loans and liquidity assets, undertaking liquidity investments and providing financial advice.
The successful candidate will assist with specific projects on analyzing the risks embedded in the existing asset and liability portfolios and assist on the trading desk with day-to-day activities. The successful candidate will also assist with software research and testing, He or she will learn how Capital Markets function and the trade-offs between risk and rewards.
3rd or 4th year student pursuing a bachelor of commerce, business or finance degree
minor in computer science or management information systems
Knowledge of Word and Excel
Financial background or work experience
Knowledge of both official languages is an asset
Security clearance – level to be determined
4 month work term
