What have we been working on?
New ACE Members: In total, from 2017 – 2018, we welcomed 57 new members to ACE. The reason for the increase partly is due to shuffling within roles, but also Claudia sent out ACE-BC membership invoices to Directors for 2018-2020 year and there were a lot of updates from institutions. Our member count now exceed 200 members.
Expert list and Orientation Package: We created an expert list to an extension of the ‘New Member Orientation Package’, and all members can benefit. We have 12 expert members and the document is posted on the ACE website. The Orientation Package • Retirement Process: The Board approved an ACE retirement process and an Emeritus Award was suggested to the Awards Committee.
Humans of ACE: 4 articles in total have been sent out in 2018. ACE BC/YUKON ANNUAL REPORT 2017/2018 20
Facebook Live Event: We held a Facebook Live event at the February board meeting. At the event we had at least 8 people view the event. We’re also awaiting further analytics.
Activity at the upcoming PD Day: Two activities are planning for the upcoming May PD Day. One will be called 4 corners and the other speed networking.
Updated Bylaws: We’re working with Claudia, Heather, Nancy and Anna in updating the ACE bylaws to reflect WIL and potentially additional publically funded institutions.
Committee Updates: Nicole will be stepping down as Co-Chair as her current role is outside of the Co-op and WIL scope. She’s enjoyed being on the Committee as Co-Chair for the 2 years and being on the Committee in total for 3 years. Jasmine Bassi, UBC will be taking over as CoChair for 2018 and may be joined by Greig Baird, SFU depending on Larry Iles status.
